  1. The story "The Wheel of Light" was published as 'The Great Wheel of Light', first in a newspaper article "Adventure Today" and later in a book titled "Strangely Enough" both written by C B Colby.
Later it would appear in a revised book titled "Worlds Best 'True' Ghost Stories" again by C B Colby.

The tales from Strangely Enough dealt with history, unusual events and unexplained phenomena, so including "The Wheel of Light" in The Twilight Zone comic was a good fit.

  2. That sounds like an interesting book I will have to check it out. I guess C.B. Colby didn't get any credit for this story.

  3. The script on "The Wheel of Light" was credited to Leo Dorfman,

  4. C B Colby only reported the incident, he couldn't take credit for it since he was just the reporter, not the author.

Strangely Enough is still available, I picked up my copy from a thrift store many years ago. While Strangely enough is still a good read all these years later, I would have passed on the book if I had to buy the hardback edition, $80 is a bit steep. Paperback versions are cheaperif you shop around.

A few youtube posters read aloud some of the stories from Strangely Enough. Here is one such poster-
