I recall "The Specter in the Sky" when Believe it or Not reprinted their stories in a version of Big Little Books, it was a pocket sized version of some of their comic stories. I wish I still had that book

DeleteI also have somewhere and old Ripley's Believe It Or Not trade paperback from the 70's with a bunch of cool stories!
