Ghost stories involving the sea, the ocean, lighthouses, ghost ships etc., almost always are a winner. The environment of the sea just adds to any ghost story- the mysteries of the deep, the legends spoken around campfires or in whispers among children who live along the coast, tales of pirates, drowned lost souls, strange lights - I say again, any ghost story involving the sea is almost always a winner.
