The prolific Gardner Fox also wrote the "Kothar" series of Sword and Sorcery novels back in the late 60's and early 70's and they were very entertaining as well...
Thanks, I had forgotten about this one and appreciate the reminder. According to Roy Thomas, at the time he was giving him work Gardner Fox wasn't up to turning in usable scripts. But Roy and Stan both liked him and wanted to give him work. So Roy did a lot of rewriting, without compensation, but was glad to do so.
This was a neat sword and sorcery tale, not quite John carter of Mars but very entertaining.

ReplyDeleteWow. I never knew that! Gardner supposedly wrote something like 4,000 comic book stories in his career. The man was amazing.
