  1. This is one of the many times that Charlton narrators were part of the story rather than just telling the tale. Once Mr. Bones was one of the characters in the story The Empty Room Ghost manor #18 1974. Dr. Graves was sometimes narrator sometimes main or supporting character as was Colonel Whiteshroud. Charlton writers and artists had a free hand when it came to whether the narrator was the spectator or co-star of the story.

  2. I wish that they had included Winnie more as a character in the stories but this is a good example of when they did. Norman Nodel did a fine job with the art on this story.
