Yow! That's a pretty unpleasant situation. That he shot her, changed guns, and shot her again is one thing--and bad enough--but I find that he apparently shot her, SLAPPED her, shot her again, and then changed guns and shot her yet again all the worse. Slapping a bloody dead person... nasty! There's his confused innocence at the end, as well, and his not frothing at the mouth. And was he really a once-famous actor and she his paramour, or was that all a delusion, too? All vague & suggestive-like like many a Steve Skeates story... and nothing wrong with that at all. Great work artwork by Frank Robbins as well: a true master.
I have to say that Frank Robbins could be the most polarizing comic book artist. His work really does stand out but as many have said..I hated his work as a kid.
