This is a short one today. In an alternate world I can imagine the following comic book dialog: “Criminals are a superstitious cowardly lot. I shall become… a rainbow!” Well as ridiculous as that sounds it’s not much better than the origin given to the colorful costumed do-gooder from Centaur’s THE ARROW #3 in October 1941.
This is not the finest moment in the career of Capt. Marvel scripter Eddy Harron but it may actually be the first published superhero for artist Al Plastino. The teaser at the end is a bold faced lie as this is believed to be the only appearance by the wannabe comic book champion.
