The Changeling

From Eerie #6 A Gene Colan
 Classic "The Changeling"
With Script By The Great
Archie Goodwin.

  1. This one was pretty dark and moody--nice twist to know it was Donald's mother committing the murders in defense of her son--and not actually Donald like it seemed at first. Changelings generally refer to fairies stealing human children and leaving their own in their place--not usually demons.

  2. Gene Colan was a master of moody art. He illustrated many great tales for Warren.
I remember buying this comic book at a flea market in the early 70's and it's one of my favorites.

  3. Archie Goodwin, as a writer and editor, inspired every artist to do their best. I could read these stories over and again.

  4. I got issue #6 of Eerie with this story at the Tropicare Flea Market. Probably from the same guy you got your Spiderman #1 for a dime.
