This was a good story, not by what it told but what it didn't tell, what exactly happened to the three robbers and their car is left for the reader to guess.

Totally agree. Mood, suspense and mystery seem to be sort of lacking in todays horror media. What's left for the imagination to figure out can be more affecting than actually showing it.
