Last thing of notice, the artists had a thing for 'headlights' back then ;)
Frank Frazetta later went on to draw Lil' Abner for Al Capp during the 50's and early 60's.

I can imagine how these older artists felt when some punk kid of 17 who could draw circles around them walked in off the streets!
