The last panel in 'The Secret Beyond Belief' sums up the story quite effectively. It reminds me of something I once heard about living forever - if you want to know what immortality would be like, go into a room with no TV, no books, no radio or record player/tape recorder, and just sit quietly in the middle of the room for eight hours straight. Then imagine doing that for days on end. That is immortality, eternal boredom.
