  1. Hell Louse by San Ho Kim was the best of the bunch, though it had stiff competition. The images of the horrors coming through the green doors reminded me of the images of Asian demons, Wide eyes and white skins and what appeared to be in kimonos. Were these images from Kim's own childhood memories? The images of the couple appearing as horrors on page four was impressive too.

Yet another gem from Charlton's treasure chest of comics.

  2. Meant to type Hell House, not Hell Louse, sorry for the typo.

  3. Sanho Kim was a fine artist. He did some work for Marvel but his Charlton art was classic.

  4. The images of the outside of the house in the Sanho Kim story are particularly striking.

I like Joe Staton's art in this issue, too. He's definitely riffing on Ditko in places, especially with Dr. Graves, but he's also got a page of crazy angled panels like Pat Boyette favored.

  5. Staton was doing interesting work for Charlton. His later work was fine but Charlton was were he did his best...in my opinion.
