The last story, Deaths Vengeance" The mace on page three upper right panel looks more cartoony than menacing. The skull mask made me think f the 3-D movie "The Mask" from 1961. The movie featured a skull mask which would cause the wearer weird hallucinations and an urge to kill, not unlike the mask in the story.
ReplyDeleteThat Skull mask did look like the one in 'The Mask'!! The Mask was a very cool Canadian made 3-D horror film from the early sixties. I remember seeing in on TV In 3-D back in the early 80's. I think I have an Elvira VHS tape of "The Mask' too.
