Caretaker of the Dead had an unique way of portraying the ghosts, just a white shadow or shape, leaving it up to the readers imagination as to how terrible the ghosts must be.
Valley of Shadow was a sad story, though when the jeep went off the cliff their fate was sealed.
Bride Come Back was early classic Ditko in all his glory.
The Last Earl was an interesting revenge story, as to whether the underwater helmet was actually used in the middle ages is subject to debate. Such primitive equipment could have been used for shallow dives, drawings in old manuscripts occasionally show divers using crude diving equipment, though no equipment has been found dating to that era. Who says comic books are not educational and thought provoking.

thanks for the post!
Incredible Ditko art from 1954. The man is a genius artist. Cool tale too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the diving helmet. Not sure they were created in the middle ages. A classic Charlton comic book.
