I think the writers had fun with Lady Luck. She was a female version of The Thin Man, with the roles of Nick and Nora reversed. Count di Change (man, what a gag that one is) as the male version of Nora. The stories had a tongue in cheek feel to them now made popular with Deadpool.
The writers portrayal of self important artists is just as accurate today as it was then.

Its a shame the character ended so soon.
I wish I had seen or read some of these classic books when I was a kid. Lady Luck is fantastic. Klaus Nordling was a great artist.
