Why more people don't hold Jim Aparo in higher regard I just don't know. Was he ever less than good--and this is just average Aparo in my opinion--while often quite stunning? And yet his art was always in service of the story and not his ego.Why isn't he held in higher regard?
Aparo was a great artist who penciled, inked and lettered most of his work. His early work for Charlton was fantastic and his Batman stories with Bob Haney were classic. I do hold Aparo jn the highest regatd.
