The art and storytelling made this a great comic. Great art and great verse for only a dime back then, kids back then didn't know how good they had it.

That's some nice, classy art. With the exception of Grandenetti in his early Eisner mode, the art here kinda looks like a cross between early EC Feinstein and early EC Wood. Again, nice-looking, classy stuff.
ReplyDeleteI liked all the stories, but whoa boy are the Americans in the first one lacking cultural sensitivity. 'Those native ruins have meaning for you? Fiddlesticks! They're in the way. Blow'em up!'
I really enjoy the Dr. Drew stories by Grandenetti I just wonder if Will Eisner worked on them too...
