In "Uncle Art's Last Wish" Dr. Graves has a monkey as a companion as he tells the tale. I wonder if this was a one time thing tried out by the artist or if the monkey appeared in any other tale.

I don't think that monkey was in any other appearance by Dr. Graves. I think it might have been some artistic license by Larry Woromay.
