There are times, few and far between, when a comic book story is created where the art and story turn into something that is, for want of a better term, a classic. This story is a classic, no doubt about it.
ReplyDeleteAs a short story or even a short play or video it wouldn't have the same effect as a comic story.

You are right there are some times where a story just transcends the medium and this is a great example that. Toth was a genius artist in my opinion and this is one of his finer works.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure Toth also colored this, which elevates it from great to truly great. The first panel of page eight is stunning.
