The Magicman tale is a lot of fun. The adorable second story is a reprint of an AITU story originally entitled "Mr. Hobb's Vacation."
The third tale reminds me of an AITU story from issue 66 called "Fate is a Many Armed Budha" except in that story, the main character isn't a jerk and there aren't any gods' screwing around with his fate--it merely tells the story of his life three different ways if he took three different forks in the road. Not all of them lead to death--but they all include a strange statue.
In this case, this man was clearly meant to die from the beginning--each time linked to that one random man.
Magicman was another strange but interesting superhero from ACG. I wonder if ACG did recycle scripts from previous issues and tweak them a bit so as not to be recognized...
