That was an interesting issue. It's too bad that they would soon shift to all reprints 'cause it would've been equally as interesting to see where their talent would've gone & how they would've developed if they had kept going along these lines.
Well Zeck went to Marvel and made lots of money. Larson I think went on to collaborate with Steve Fastner. Bill Molno left comics to do oil paintings and watercolors.
Oh, no, I'm aware that going elsewhere was financially the best move. As a parallel example, I'm sure Jack Davis was very happy with his advertising career, but I would love to see what experiments like 'Country Clubbing' & 'Betsy' could have developed into (besides inspiring Howard Nostrand's excellent 'Dust Unto Dust'). I can't imagine Davis himself ever looked back, though, and fair enough.
