I always like seeing his Warren work, but it's a little bit eerie though it also cracks me up that John Severin made his name doing war comics for a company much more famous for its horror and satire magazines and then ended up doing a lot of horror and satire for other companies. Oh yeah, and inking THE INCREDIBLE HULK when he started off as a guy who pointedly didn't do his own inking.

ReplyDeleteYes there is irony there but boy was he a great artist. Always loved his work. I loved his inking over Trimpe on the Hulk.
