The second story surprises me that the witch actually wins--which feels a bit tragic to me since all the people she does away with were actually very sympathetic characters.
ReplyDeleteOccasionally some of these tales end on a dour note. The first story with the human centipedes didn't end well for our protagonist either.
ReplyDeleteCareful how you say "Human centipedes!" I unfortunately can only think of that infamous series of horror films that I will never watch.
